G/L Maintaining Accounts : G/L Create Accounts Preview Form
Details
The GL Create Accounts Preview form displays a list of accounts that the program will add to your chart of accounts when you click Preview in the G/L Create Accounts form.
The G/L Create Accounts Preview lets you change the accounts before you add them permanently to your chart of accounts, as follows:

You can change the entry in the Create field only if you have not yet processed the account. If you do not wish to create an account that is marked Yes for creation, change the entry to No for the selected account by double-clicking the Create field, or by selecting the field and pressing the spacebar.
When you select a preview account that is based on a subledger control account, the Subledger button becomes available.

To view or change the information that will be added to the Subledger tab on the new G/L Account record, click the Subledger button. You can also double-click the Control Account field for any account whose control account attributes you want to change.

When you select a preview account that is based on a multicurrency account, the Currency button is available.

To view or change the information that will be added to the Currency tab of the G/L Account record, click Currency button. You can also double-click the Default Currency field of a multicurrency account to change the default currency for the account.

When you select a preview account to which the program will assign optional account fields or optional transaction detail fields, the Optional Fields and the Trans. Optional Fields buttons become available.

To view or change the optional fields that will be added to the Optional Fields tab of the G/L Account record, click the Optional Fields button. The Preview Account Optional Fields form appears.

To remove an optional account field, highlight that line on the grid, then press the Delete key.
To add an optional account field, press the Insert key, double-click in the Optional Field column for the line you are editing, then enter the code for the optional field or use the Finder to select the code.
To change the default value for the optional account field, double-click in the Value column for the line you are editing, then enter the value or use the Finder to select it. (Note that if the optional field requires validation, you must select a value you have set up for the field in Common Services.)
In the G/L Optional Fields setup form, double-click in the Value Set field to change the entry from No to Yes. Also, optional fields which are set as Required in the G/L Optional Fields setup form need to appear in the Optional Fields zoom form in the Create Accounts preview. The system won't allow you to proceed until required optional fields appear in the Optional Fields zoom form.

To view or change the optional transaction details fields that will be assigned to the account on the Trans. Optional Fields tab, click the Trans. Optional Fields button. The Transaction Optional Fields dialog box appearsl, displaying any transactional optional fields that were previously selected.

To remove an optional transaction details field, select it on the grid, then press the Delete key.
To add an optional transaction details field, press the Insert key, double-click in the Optional Field column for the line you are editing, then enter the code for the optional field or use the Finder to select the code.
To change the default value for the optional account transaction details field, double-click in the Value column for the line you are editing, then enter the value or use the Finder to select it. (Note that if the optional field requires validation, you must select a value you have set up for the field in Common Services.)
For the account you are going to create, you can set up the following options for Transaction Optional Fields:
     - Value Set
     - Default Values
     - Required
     - Auto Insert.
Transaction Optional Fields which are set to Required in the G/L Optional Fields setup form for Transaction Details need to be in the Trans. Optional fields zoom form in the Create Accounts Preview. The system won't allow you to proceed until required transaction optional fields appear in the Transaction Optional Fields zoom form.

Note: If you have not yet processed an account, No appears in the Processed field.
